Pastor Emilio Abreu is the founding pastor of Centro Familiar de Adoracion, Asuncion, Paraguay which he started in 1985 with his wife Bethany. For over twenty years he has lead the congregation which now has grown to a weekly attendance of 10000. His passion to share the love of Christ with Paraguay and the nations has led him to create a network of churches in various parts of Paraguay and different cities in the world. He has become an acclaimed inspirational speaker due to his charismatic leadership. In 2011 he published his first book: “Como ganar la batalla”. Presently he is author of a number of books and has also composed music.
He was born and raised in Asuncion and holds a degree in Marketing and a minor in Political Science as well as an MBA from the University of Indiana (Pennsylvania, USA). In addition, he represented Paraguay as an Olympic swimmer in the Montreal, Canada 1976 games.
Bethany de Abreu
Bethany was born in Pittsburgh-Pennsylvania-USA, and holds a degree in Special Education from the University of Indiana.
She serves God together with Pastor Emilio, sharing the gospel in many creative ways. Currently she organizes an annual women’s conference. These events are designed to bring women into a close relationship with God and to bring inner healing to their lives.
The Abreus have to grown children: Rebekah and Joshua.
